TEMPERATURE CONTROL WITH THE INKBIRD ITC 608 T

Posted by Moonshiner Chuck on

Welcome back we’re so glad to be with you again today.  Now today's discussion is going to be on controllers. And we've done a lot of discussion about controllers about p ID controllers, the proportional integral derivative controllers, and today we have one that is very similar that is a p ID for lack of better words. And it's a bird ITC six Eight, T. Very, very powerful, and very useful. But I want to make sure that you use it for the proper process. It comes with a really good up there it is. It comes with a really...

WIRING A 240 V CIRCUIT FOR YOUR STILL EASY STEP BY STEP

Posted by Moonshiner Chuck on

Welcome back, hobbyists, distillers brewers, and winemakers. So today we discuss wiring and distillation, we're going to distill some meat, but I needed a 220 circuit. So I got a wire. First of all a lot of an explanation about electricity and how you can do your own wiring. Limited amount, it'd be safe and if you're not comfortable, please don't touch it. It's really not that difficult now, I have always been and always will be transparent. I make mistakes on a regular basis. We all do.  I've got my P ID and wired. I've got a 240-volt outlet...

240 V vs 120 V EXPLAINED

Posted by Moonshiner Chuck on

Welcome back we're glad to have you back with us again. Today, we're going to do a discussion on this load center that you'll find in your home or in the shop. If it's a sub panel, it will describe more about that. But I need to get back to some basics. So we can understand.  First of all, if you are unfamiliar with or you are shaky about messing with electricity, gas, just turn this off and go to something else. It's not going to help you unless you're just curious. But this is for those who want to...

HOW TO WIRE THAT CIRCUIT FOR YOUR PROCESS

Posted by Moonshiner Chuck on

We got four wires for 240 volts, or we can use three wires for 240 volts. Or we can use a combination of the four wires 420 volts, or the three wires for 120 volts. If you don't follow some basic simple rules this could kill you. I have to be perfectly honest. So none of us want to die. Remember the 120 volts you got a black or white, a black and a green, the green is ground, the white and the black is 120 volts, a hot and a neutral.  On the 240 volts, four-wire you have, 240...

DUAL ELEMENT HEAT CONTROL PART 1

Posted by Moonshiner Chuck on

Welcome back, today we're going to build a pID controller for two elements. I'm using my pin, although you can use the inkbird. Use just about anyone that you can rely on. That's for two solid state relays. I got a lot going on. We now have a finished product. And this is my P ID, my dual element p ID all assembled. I got my volt amp meter here so I can keep track of that. I could always use the P ID. It has a power output mode that you can track as well.  But here's how this...
